The best things in life are the simple things.
Here are the top 3 simple things of my day to day:
#3 Dusk. It’s just so pleasant.
#2 Snuggling with the boy before bed. We climb in the bottom bunk, read a story, chat a little bit, pray, cuddle, maybe sing a song, and then he marches up to the top bunk while I hang out on the bottom until he falls asleep.
#1 Brushing my teeth for the first time in the morning. Ok I love snuggling my boy more, but it is such a great feeling to get rid of that nasty taste in my mouth. So today I’m marking it numero uno.
What simple things do you love?

Hi. You don’t know me. I stumbled upon your blog during an image search, and I don’t even know why your blog came up in my results.
But, I lost my fiance and my mother the same summer, three years ago. My best friend died this past June. And, although I don’t know you, reading here somehow gets into my heart.
I hope you don’t mind my commenting here. I do some writing, but not nearly as much or as eloquent as yours.
You don’t know me, but I’ll be praying for you.

1. I lived in the same house growing up until I went to college (my parents still live there – 24 years and it still looks the same!) I love the feeling of pulling into our driveway. I could have my eyes closed (in the passenger seat of course!) and know exactly where we are by the simple motion, movement, and sound of the car. It’s that comforting feeling of knowing I am home.
2. Clean sheets on my bed – warm and right out of the dryer
3. paper and crayons – you are never to old to color with kids
September 22, 2009 at 5:20 am
