There

By angielamberth

Someone WAITING
asked
what the
most
helpful
thing
anyone
has done
or said.

That’s a
tough one.
Because
people
have
amazed me
with
their
kindness.

Of everything
the number one was
just
being
there.

In the hospital,
it was a waiting room full of family,
friends, Mark’s coworkers,
my coworkers.
All sitting around.
Being helpless with me.
A couple from church,
that I never had met,
brought their RV to the parking lot,
so that I could be with Nolan and
be right there for Mark.

Online,
it’s been those who keep praying,
who keep reading,
listening to me gripe,
preach,
confess,
brag about my awesome kid.

Since I’ve been home,
it’s been the company,
the sleepovers,
the help,
the texts in the middle of the night,
the home cooked meals that just kept coming,
the generosity of everyone.

They also asked if there
was something I would have
liked more of.

If anything, just to know Mark’s grave is visited.

Thank you all.

Angie – I’ve often thought of visiting Mark’s grave, and was even thinking about it last night. Just to see where he is, to pray for you and Nolan… From what I’ve pieced together, I’m pretty sure that it’s at Olivewood Cemetary, and on a hill, near a big tree. But I’ve never really known where exactly his grave is. If you don’t mind me going, could you let me know how to find it? You could even just send me an email if you don’t want to post it here. Thanks.

*correction – where his grave is. Since I am so, so grateful that I already know where he is!

I remember walking around the cemetery after your beautiful little baby was buried in September of 2006. I remember Mark liking the old headstones as we read them. The resting place you chose for Mark couldn’t be any more perfect to sit and reflect on who he was as a man. His son layed to rest below him and above the two of them is a beautiful hill with huge rocks at the top. Two of the things he loved most, being close to God and his family….

Oh, Angie, is he buried with your baby? That’s just beautiful. For those of us far away, would you consider posting pictures? I’d love to see where his body rests….

Too far away to visit Mark’s grave, but I can be here praying!
Psalms 121:1-4 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

I often check on your blog, and have done since Mark was in hospital. Your strength and love for your husband and son is amazing. I know Mark would be so proud of how you are coping, and for how strong you have been for Nolan.
