On our Seattle trip
we visited an interactive music museum
called the Experience Music Project.
Nolan named our band the Respect Your Mother Band
(he conveniently had just the right shirt).
Part of the museum
was an exhibit on Hatch Show Prints
which the grown ups really enjoyed.
The little ones
preferred the instruments
and especially the puppets
at the Jim Henson exhibit.

I love that museum!
When it first opened, I remember reading in the paper about how many rock stars went and mingled with the public. On the first day, in the areas where you play instruments, an old grandmother played guitar while a man proficiently played bass along with her. Afterwards, she turned to him and said “Young man, you are quite good, and I think if you keep working on it, you’ll really get somewhere with that.”
The man was Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers.
