As this challenging day draws to an end, we continue to trust and call out to the Lord for an 11th hour miracle. Another doctor came in this evening to give a second opinion. After looking at Mark’s CAT scans, he concurred with the first doctor that the hemorrhage Mark had in his brain was “catastrophic” in nature and that medically there is nothing more they can do for him. Despite this, Mark still looks peaceful as many family and friends have come by to pray with him and Angie and offer encouragement.
We ask that you continue to call out to God for His mercy and that He will give Angie wisdom as she may have to make some difficult choices.

January 7, 2009 at 11:08 pm
My dear family,
May you find peace and comfort in knowing that we are all still here for you and hurting right along with you. God has never left your side or Mark’s. I believe that Mark is being comforted by angels and even by Jesus himself. He is not alone right now and that alone, is providing him with that peaceful look.
Praying for you all tonight.
As always, love and hugs from Idaho,
Michele, Alex, Zach and Chandler

My prayers are with you all. God loves Mark so much more than you do, that is so much more difficult to grasp after becoming a wife and mother, how can anyone love them more? But, or LORD does, and he wants what is best for us. I am praying, praying, praying for you all.

I just was emailed this and thought it might bring a smile…
The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the ‘Peanuts’ comic strip. You don’t have to actually answer the questions. Just read the straight through, and you’ll get the point.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade’s worth of World Series winners.
How did you do?
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners .
Here’s another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with
Easier?
The lesson:
The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care.
“Mark, Angie & Nolan…I hope that you know from the endless love and support shown here and with you at the hospital that you have many who care for you and you make all of our lists!” – Darren
‘Don’t worry about the world coming to an end today.
It’s already tomorrow in Australia.’ (all Charles Schultz except the beginning and the quote)
“Love to you Lamberths!”

Maybe we can cool it on the “life lessons” and anecdotes while people’s worlds are crashing down upon them.

I will continue to pray for all of you! I encourage you all to surround Angie and give her support and guidance during these dark hours. I remeber almost 10 years ago sitting at my brother-in-law’s bedside with my sister. She watched the heart monitor so intensely and noticed every time it would seem to get better, though she did not notice that he did not have a pulse for several hours. I remember pulling her aside and gently telling her that he did not have a pulse and what the doctors were actually saying and not what her heart wanted to hear. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. She now looks back on that time and tells people how much it meant to her that I was there to guide her, because all she saw was the man she loved and she was willing to do whatever it took and wait forever to help him! I am praying for all of you!

Dear Angie & loved ones,
I’m so sad for you and your lovely little boy. I’m praying for you and rejoice in the prayers and support coming your way. As I was praying for you this morning, I was thinking of some scriptures I’d like to share with you and pray the Lord will use them to bring you a measure of comfort in time.
Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, ….? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, … will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
Psalm 139:1-6 O LORD, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O LORD, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it!
I know this is a tragic, heartbreaking day for you and all that love you. My heart and prayers are going your way.
May the Lord bless you & keep you,
Linda Crandall (Justin’s mom)

Angie,
You have an army behind you during this time of suffering but most importantly you have God’s love and grace. We continue to pray as we keep you and your loved ones in our hearts.
“Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.” Romans 5:3-5
January 8, 2009 at 7:27 am
Angie and Nolan,
I have not given up hope, and as we all know, God is in charge. If the Lord chooses to take Mark home, then I believe that God needs him elsewhere. From a human prespective, I pray for a miracle healing, but again, The Lord has plans for Mark, either here in this world, or with Jesus in His Kingdom. I pray for Angie and Nolan, for peace and serenity. I pray for the tasks at hand for Angie, and that You, Father, guide Angie through this ordeal. I pray that you give Nolan peace and understanding as well.
Peace, Joy and serenity to you both, and whatever is Gods plans for Mark, that you allow him to rest peacefully.
Love, Rick Waterman

Sue and I are so sorry to hear the recent developments. We have been through these head trama tragedies with others before and the up and down emotions are so hard. I have been memorizing Psalm 34 and it has been a great comfort to me. It speaks of God being with us through our fears (of what may happen) and our troubles (what has happened). We love you very much and will pray for God’s comfort for you at this difficult time.
The pictures of your young family and you going places and enjoying each other’s company are just beautiful. Thank you for giving us this window on your world. On one hand the pictures make it obvious that should Mark go to be with the Lord he will be sorely missed. On the other hand I can see that he will have left behind a life that was a legacy of love and blessing that will be remembered forever…

My God makes the lame to walk and the blind to see. He can raise a man from the dead by just speaking. He will do as he sees fit and I believe He can perform a miracle on the body of Mark. I pray for there to be no pain and no suffering for Mark. I pray that if God is ready to take him to his eternal home, that Angie and Nolan and their extended family will find comfort and strength and courage to continue carrying on the legacy of such an incredible man.

A friend on facebook posted a note to lay hands on Mark’s photo at this site and pray for him – sounded odd, but really resonated with me to click on a stranger’s site, and spend some time praying for him and “getting to know” you all. I will continue to pray for him and for your whole family and community of friends. What a tough thing to walk through… I’m praying that the grace and peace of God would just invade your space and make every moment count.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the borkenhearted, to proclaim freedome for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengance for our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion – to bestow on them a crown of beauth instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of moruning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righetousness, a planting of the Lord for the day of his splendor. Isaiah 61: 1-3
He is your comfort, your deliverer, your resting place and your reward. My heart breaks for you and with you. So much love to you my sister in Christ. So much.

Angie and family,
Just wanted to let you know that I continue to be in prayer for all of you throughout the day.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus

January 8, 2009 at 11:39 am
Angie- Our hearts are broken for you and your family. We will continue to pray for guidance and wisdom regarding the tough decisions that you may have to make. We pray that the Lord will surround you with much comfort during these extremely difficult times. We know you and Mark through the family functions that we attended. You, Mark, and Nolan seemed to be a very sweet Christian family. As I was looking through your pictures, one in particular was very precious to me. It was the one where Mark was holding our grandson Jackson after he was born. He had a huge grin on his face and you could tell he was so happy for Troy and Melissa. We will continue to pray for God’s strength and peace for you and your family. Troy thank you for this latest update. It had to be very difficult for you to write. We are here for you and Melissa. May God continue to be glorified through this situation. Love, The Inmans

I wanted to let all of you know how sorry I am for your loss. I worked with Mark from the time he started at the hospital and have found him to be nothing short of a great person. I will miss him dearly, but know he is in a better place with the Lord. I will continue to pray for Angie and Nolan that God will provide for their needs.
Love in Christ,
