God has shown himself strong through the Body of Jesus Christ as visitors have come to visit Mark and his family from near and far. Your prayers and kind words have encouraged the family greatly. God is good and in control. The update this morning is not a good one. The doctors have said the damage to Mark’s brain is severe and irreversible. Their biggest concern is the injury to his brain stem. They say surgery cannot reverse the damage. Technically he is in a deep coma, though he is not brain dead. The next 24 hours will determine the direction the doctors will take.
Mark’s family and friends ask that you keep seeking the Great Physician on his behalf. Pray that God will be merciful to heal Mark’s injuries and restore him to good health. Pray that Angie will know the presence of God’s great comfort. Pray that Nolan will trust the Heavenly Father to heal his earthly father. And pray for his parents, brother, sisters, and other extended family and friends that God will comfort them in their time of need.
Psalms 73:23-28 A Prayer to God
“Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
For behold, those who are far from you shall perish; you put an end to everyone who is unfaithful to you. But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.”

I went to middle school with Mark. I didn’t know him very well, but know the name. My family and I are praying for you and your family. My God heal Mark’s body.
